As of August 1, 2020, Benton County (Prosser) is currently in Modified Stage 1 which allows wineries to reopen with outdoor seating only and safety measures in place.
Businesses are taking the following precautions to keep their guests and staff safe while allowing guests to return to engaging with local wineries:
- Outdoor seating only, at 50% capacity.
- Seated tastings only.
- Ensuring tables are at least 6 feet apart to allow social distancing from other parties.
- Limited parties of up to 5 people (including children).
- No indoor service or seating.
- No tasting bar service.
- Minimum staff serving each table
- Face coverings for guests are required in all places of business as of June 26, 2020, however, face coverings may be removed during your seated tasting.
Update: August 26, 2020
Beginning Thursday, August 27, we were approved to move to another phase of modified Phase 1 of the state’s Safe Start Phased Reopening Plan. Some wineries who qualify will be allowed indoor dining at 25% capacity, limited to tables of 5 from the same household. Check our winery listings page for winery specific information.
FACE COVERINGS
Face coverings for guests are required in all places of business as of June 26, 2020.* And as of July 7, 2020 businesses in Washington State are required to refuse service to any customers refusing to wear a face covering. This includes both indoor and outdoor service. Please be mindful of the state mandates for the safety of all parties.
*Exemptions include:
- Children under the age of two should not wear face coverings. Children ages three and four are encouraged, but not required to wear a face covering.
- Exemptions also include those with certain medical conditions who may be adversely impacted by wearing a facial covering.
- Customers may remove face coverings while seated (eating and drinking) or communicating with a person who is deaf or hard of hearing.
